INDIAN AIR FORCE AIRMEN
The Airmen cadre provides opportunities for men with matriculate or below, 10+2 /Intermediate, graduates, Diploma holders and postgraduates in either of the three combatant groups ie 'X', 'Y' or 'Z' of the Technical and the Non-technical trades.
Eligibility criteria
GROUP X trades (except education instructor)
Age Limits:
Age17-21 years
Educational Qualifications:
Passed intermediate/10+2/equivalent examination with Mathematics ,physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English .or three year diploma course in engineering (mechanical/electrical/Electronics/automobile/computer science/instrumentation technology/information technology)from a government recognized polytechnic institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma or in intermediates/matriculation if English in not a subject in diploma
GROUP X (education instructor trade)
Age Limits:
Age20-25 years
Educational Qualifications:
Graduate in art ,commerce or science with B Ed degree or two year teaching experience in government recognized school/college ,minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in graduation as well as B Ed. OR Age20-28 years Passed MA English /M Sc in Mathematics ,Physics ,computer science, MCA with B Ed degree or two year teaching experience in government recognized school/college
GROUP Y trades (except Med Asst and Musician)
Age Limits:
Age17-21 years
Passed intermediate/ 10+2/ equivalent examination in any stream/subjects approved by central/state education board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Or Passed two years vocational course affiliated/ recognized by CBSE/states education boards /councils duly recognized at par with 10+2 by AIU WITH MINIUM 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in intermediates / matriculations if English is not a subject in vocational courses.
GROUP Y (Med Asst trades)
Age Limits:
Age17-21 years
Passed 10+2/ intermediates/ equivalent exam with physics ,chemistry, biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregates, and 50% marks in English
